COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Rcschedule November 8, 2005 City Council Meeting <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson advised the regular City Council meeting of November 8, <br />2005, will have to be rescheduled due to the School District Election. She explained State <br />Statute prohibits public meetings on the day that an election is held within the boundaries of the <br />special taxing district, school district, county, city or town, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and <br />8:00 p.m. Staff is recommending the meeting be rescheduled to Monday, November 7th. <br /> <br />M()tion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to reschedule the <br /> l at'(2ity Council meeting of November 8, 2005 to Monday, November 7, 2005. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Pearson, Cook, Elvig, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Jeffrey and Olson. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Introduction of 2006 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges and Call for a <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Finance Ot~ficcr Lund explained the City is allowed to annually adopt the Schedule of Rates, <br />}:ecs and Charges by resolution, but the City has chosen to adopt its entire schedule by <br />ot'dinancc. Ordinance adoption provides the opportunity for comments at a public hearing and <br />gives adequate time before the rates go into effect. She advised the majority of changes are <br />alTcctcd by staff wage increases and gas increases. The rate increases take into effect staff <br />recommendations, industry standards, rates charged by neighboring cities, and annual increases <br />b~scd on inflation. <br /> <br />('otmcilmcmber Strommen inquired if these rates include the phasing in of the sewer and water <br />rate increase according to the comprehensive study. <br /> <br />1' inancc Officer Lund responded in the affirmative. <br /> <br />Molion by Councihnember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to introduce an <br />ordinance lbr the 2006 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges and calling for a public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Elvig, Strommen, Councilmembers Cook, and <br />l'c~,'son. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Jeffrey and Olson. <br /> <br />(!asc #3: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review of Dave Perkins Contracting: Case of Dave <br />Perkins Contracting <br /> <br />( ommtmity Development Director Trudgeon stated Dave Perkins Contracting submitted a site <br />plan (m September 6, 2005, revised October 7, 2005, to construct a 20,000 square foot <br />off'icc/warehousing facility at the site generally located at 143rd Avenue NW and Limonite Street <br />NW.
