Seeking one individual to <br />assist our Parks staff with general maintenance of City-owned parks and trail systems. This <br />is a temporary full-time AFSCME union position lasting up to 7-months. Responsibilities <br />include all aspects of parks maintenance, construction of new facilities and the operation <br />of equipment while working in a variety of weather conditions. This individual also assists <br />staff with several City events. All candidates must be at least 18 years old or older and <br />possess a valid MN commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) with both air brake and <br />tanker endorsements. This is a temporary full-time AFSCME union position subject to <br />DOT random drug and alcohol testing, working 40 hours per week, Monday through <br />Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. This position will not lead to regular employment at the <br />conclusion of the season. The 2022 wage is $19.511 per hour. Deadline to apply has been <br />changed to open until filled. The wage is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, <br />depending on qualifications. Interviews will be conducted weekly. Application period is <br />open until all 11 positions have been filled. The City of Ramsey is gathering <br />sponsorships as part of its Adopt-a-Flag program. The Adopt-a-Flag Program calls for community <br />partners – both in the business and residential community – to sponsor a flag that will be affixed <br />to a light pole along Sunwood Drive. A Friends-of-the-Flag Level Sponsorship is $50 and a Patriot <br />Level Sponsorship is $500. This covers the cost of supplies as well as an engraved plaque which <br />will be on display at Ramsey City Hall. Patriot Sponsors will also have an engraved nameplate <br />affixed to the light pole. Adopting a flag can also serve as a symbol to honor the memory of a <br />loved one.
