CITY COUNCI~L WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, <br />at the Ramsey Fire Station Number l, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Todd Cook <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Ass't Community Development Dir/HRA Executive Dir. Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:47 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Case No. 4 was moved up to be discussed first in the agenda. <br /> <br />'he agenda was approved as amended. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />4) Residential Redevelopment Opportunities <br /> <br />(;it),' Administrator Norman indicated he would like the Council to engage in discusSion <br />regarding houses that come up for sale in redevelopment areas. He discussed the following <br />/~ossible redevelopment areas in the City: <br /> Pineview Estates North: There are typically four to five houses for sale at one. time in <br /> this area. A possible financing plan to redevelop this area would be for the City to <br /> purchase a parcel that is for sale, complete a lot split, and sell the portion of the lot with <br /> the house on it. This sale would include an easement agreement that would allow a drain <br /> field with an agreement to hook up to municipal sewer and water when it becomes <br /> available.
