raised by the Lions, requiring a $120,000 bridge from the City's Charitable Gambling Fund,
rather than the previous estimated amount of $60,000. The Lions had previously indicated they
could likely come up with another $50,000 by the end of the year.

Councilmember Elvig stated he does not have a problem doing bridge financing for this project,
but for the protection of the City's money there should be a review of the spedilScations to be
sure they are in order and tight enough. He noted the large range in bids indicates a problem
with the specifications.

The consensus of the Council was to direct staff to rebid the project after a review of the
specifications to be sure they are in order, and to speak with the Lions to determine their feelings
regarding the project.

Assistant City Administrator Nelson announced there will be an Employee Appreciation Lunch
at City Hall on Wednesday, October 12th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Councilmembers are
welcome to attend.

ADJOURNMENT

The Work Session of the City Council was adjourned at 8:19 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

James E, Norman
City Administrator

ATTEST:

Jo Ann M.
