He <br />stated he realizes they are dealing with economics, but a central green area for all of this might <br />aisc, make a nice transition from the single-family to dense housing. He added he likes the ponds <br />and w/rD trails ir would be a nice place to live. · <br /> <br />Jenny Brock, 15240 Kangaroo indicated she lives on the comer of Alpine and Kangaroo. She <br />stated she just spent a lot of money remodeling her home, and when she was here for the traffic <br />meetings there was no mention of this development. She noted if there had been, she would have <br />sold her home and left rather than remodel. She indicated she does not want 66-foot lots behind <br />her, stating the traffic is already bad enough. She stated if all those homes go behind her with <br />tra£fic and traffic lights she will be awake al! night. She indicated there was no mention of this at <br />thc' tra£fic meetings, and a lot of people would have liked to hear about it before now. <br /> <br />Brock asked how many units would be in each of the apartment buildings. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated they all share the same concern for density in the northwest comer. He - <br />indicated the Planning Commission is trying to move away from the 66-foot lots and use a <br />di£f'crent type of development format without the impact on Ms. Brock's property. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt noted that a typical lot width is 80 feet, so there could potent/allY'be three to <br />~bur homes abutting her without any intervention from the Planning Commission whatsoever. <br /> <br />Ms. Brock reiterated that if this was brought up b4fore She remodeled her home, she never would <br />have done that. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated that you have to assume that with the zoning that is currently on the <br />property adjacent to Ms. Brock that the possibility of development is there. It cannot stay <br />undeveloped land forever. <br /> <br />Ms. Breck indicated she has seen some of the Pulte HomeS, and they seem like nice homes. She <br />s;tated her concern is with the density of homes behind her. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt noted that the Planning Commission agrees; and Ms, Brock heard them all <br />comment on the same thing tonight.
