FC#. <br /> <br />PURCHASE OF NEW & REPLACEMENT COMPUTERS, MONITORS AND <br />PRINTER <br /> By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />With the addition of new staff and the joining of the Police Department to the Anoka <br />County Central Records System, the City is in need of five computers, seven monitors, <br />and a laser printer. Quotes were obtained from Logis, Netmark, Best Buy, Circuit City, <br />and Office Max for the various computer and monitor purchases. The quotes obtained <br />are attached for review. <br /> <br />The five computers would be dispersed as such: A new computer and monitor for the <br />newly created Public Works Secretary, a new computer and monitor for the third <br />workstation in the Police Department for the use by eleven patrol officers, a computer <br />and monitor for Public works to replace an out-of-date workstation and two replacement <br />computers and monitors for the Chief of Police and First Sergeant to become compatible <br />with the Anoka County Central Records System. ~ <br /> <br />Two additional monitors are also needed for the replacement of two faulty monitors on <br />the cash receipt system and in Engineering. <br /> <br />With the Engineering Department being located in the basement, there is not a printer <br />nearby to print necessary reports. It is not feasible to spend the time running back and <br />forth upstairs to retrieve data, thus an additional laser printer is needed. <br /> <br />Based on the attached price quotations, the City is requesting to purchase the following <br />equipment: <br /> <br />3 Pentium III 600 Computers for Police Department <br /> (Workstations need to be NT $1,295 each) <br /> Purchased from Netmark, Inc. <br /> <br />$3,885 <br /> <br />2 Pentium III 600 Computers for Public Works <br /> ($1,185 each) <br /> Purchased from Netmark, Inc. <br /> <br />$2,370 <br /> <br />3-19" Monitors for Police Department <br /> ($300.00 is average price from Best Buy, <br /> Circuit City and Office Max) <br /> <br />$ 900 <br /> <br /> <br />
