( ', I t~l~cil~lcln bet Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-290 <br /> <br />I-It.~S()I.UTION CAIJLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />F~)R IM PROVI~;MENT PROJECT #05-23 EBONY STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> \VI ! ER I~AS, by Resolution 05-05-147 the City Council on May 24th, 2005, the <br />(_'ity/\dministrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to <br />lil~ony ,'-;lrcct and Utility h'nprovement between 137th Avenue and Riverdale Drive; and, <br /> <br />\VI II~:Ri~;AS, thc City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment <br /> completed and liled in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW TIII,;I~.EFORE, liE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />R.,\MSI,;Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />'1'}~t at Public Hearing shall be held on September 27, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Fire <br />Stalion, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such <br />ii,nc and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an <br />ot,portunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />'l'h:~t thc City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br />p~'oposcd assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks <br />prior to tiao hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br />assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the heatings. <br /> <br />'l'l~a~t the owner off any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />a:qscssment by the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />imcrcst accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged <br />it' thc entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br />ow~cr may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br />remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br />is made.
