('otmcilmcmbcr Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-299 <br /> <br />RI,;S¢)I,U'I'ION CALl,lNG FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />I~'OR 151PROVEMENT PROJECT #05-03 (SEALCOAT AND CRACKFILL GORHAM'S <br />S ,,\ [sI D Y AC R ES ESTATES, SECTION 24 (UNPLATTED) <br /> <br /> \VIIEREAS, by Resolution 05-09-292 the City Council on September 13th, 2005, the <br />City Aclm in i strator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to <br />(iorl~m))'s Sandy Acrcs Estates, Section 24 (unplatted); and <br /> <br />WIIEREAS, thc City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed <br /> has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW TIlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />R/\NISI,;Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />Tl~at a Pttblic Hearing shall be held on September 27, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Fire <br />St~tion, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such <br />time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an <br />ot)t~orttmity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />'l'hat tiao City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br />proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks <br />prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall also catlso mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br />ztsscssment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />'l'hat thc owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />assessment by the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />interest accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged <br />it' the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br />owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br />rt:maining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br />is; ~nadc.
