(7ot~cihncmber Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-300 <br /> <br />i,IES()I~IJTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-04 (SEALCOAT AND CRACKFILL <br />I,'I.INq'WOOD ItlLI~S) <br /> <br /> WIII~;REAS, by Resolution 05-09-293 the City Council on September 13th, 2005, the <br />City Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to <br />I:iintwood l lills; and <br /> <br />\VII I,;R1,;AS, thc City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed <br /> has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NO\V TIIEREIrORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RASISEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That a Public Hcarir~g shall be held on September 27, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Fire <br />Station, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such <br />time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an <br />Opl,Ortunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />q'hat the City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br />proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least t;vo weeks <br />p~'ior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall also CaLtSC mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br />assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3~ <br /> <br />'l'hat tiao owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />tts,scssmcnt by the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />interest accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged <br />ii' thc entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br />owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br />remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br />is made.
