('ou~lci lmcmber Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-301 <br /> <br />R ESOI,UTION CAI,LING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-05 (SEALCOAT AND CRACKFILL RAMSEY <br />T E R RA C E) <br /> <br /> WI IEREAS, by Resolution 05-09-294 the City Council on September 13th, 2005, the <br />City Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to <br />l{a~nscy 'l'crrace; and <br /> <br />WIIEREAS, the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed <br /> has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW Tlll,;llEICOl/Ir~, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />R.,\51SEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />q'hat a Public Hearing shall be held on September 27, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Fire <br />Station, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such <br />time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an <br />Oplmrtunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />q'lmt the City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br />proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks <br />prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br />assessment roll uot less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />q'hat the owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />assessment by the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />i~t~rcst accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged <br />il' ~ho entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br />owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br />remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br />is lnadc.
