SOI,UTION CAI,LING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />FOR IMPi,tOVEMENT PROJECT #05-07 (BITUMINOUS OVERLAY SECTION 21 <br />UNI~I~/\TTED ) <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, by Resolution 05-09-296 the City Council on September 13th, 2005, the <br />City Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to <br />S~¢ctiol~ 21 Unplatted; and <br /> <br />WIlEREAS, the City Adlninistrator has notified the City Council that such proposed <br /> has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />i~OW TilI,;REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />I) <br /> <br />'l'h~t a Public Hearing shall be held on September 27, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Fire <br />Station, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such <br />time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an <br />~l*l)Ortunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />~l'h~t the City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br />p~-Ol)oscd assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks <br />prior to thc hearing, and lac shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br />as.~cssment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />That thc owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />assessment by the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />interest accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged <br />il' thc cntirc assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br />owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br />remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br />is made.
