Cou~ci lmcmbcr Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-304 <br /> <br />RI(SOI.UTION CALl. lNG FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />I~'¢)R IMPROVI~MENT PROJECT #05-08 (BITUMINOUS OVERLAY SORTEBERG'S <br />4TM ,,,\I)DITION, SORTEBERG'S 5TM ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WIlI,;REAS, by Resolution 05-09-297 the City Council on September 13th, 2005, the <br />('ity/\d m inistrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improvements to <br />So~-tcbcrg's 4m addition, Sorteberg's 5mAddition; and <br /> <br />WIIICRIqAS, the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed <br /> has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW TIlICI/EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />I~ A h'l S l,] ¥, A NO KA CO UNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />q'D~tt ;t Public Hearing shall be held on September 27, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Fire <br />Station, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such <br />lime and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an <br />Ol)portunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />~) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br />proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks <br />prio~- to thc hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br />shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br />assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />Tl~:tt thc owner o£ any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />assessment by thc County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br />interest accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged <br />it' thc entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br />oxvncr may at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br />t'c~l~aining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br />is ~ladc.
