Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION #22-143
<br /> RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
<br /> ON AUGUST 9, 2022
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Primary Election on Tuesday,
<br /> August 9, 2022; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br /> precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $10.3 3 for election judge trainees, $10.3 3 for
<br /> regular election judges and $11.33 for head judges; and
<br /> WHEREAS,when necessary, regular City staff working as judges on election day will be
<br /> paid their normal hourly wage.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br /> 1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Primary
<br /> Election to be held on August 9, 2022:

<br /> Susan Fox, John Freeburg, Colleen Graber, Ashley Handberg, Deb Hanson, Gena Hatton,

<br /> 3) That Council authorize staff to train and hire additional election judges not named here
<br /> should the need arise.
