Come Work With Us! The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: • Buildin2 Insnector/Plans Examiner - Two (2) Onenino. The primary objective of these positions is to assist the Building Official in ensuring that all new and existing residential and commercial/industrial development in the City complies with all applicable portions of the Minnesota Building Codes and applicable City Codes. Both are full-time AFSCME union positions, working 40 hours per week. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Experience is preferred but not required; the full wage scale of $33.098 to $41.372 per hour is the hiring range, depending on experience and qualifications. This individual is responsible for the planning and implementation of development and redevelopment of residential, commercial and industrial land that help shape a vibrant, sustainable community. This position reports to the City Administrator, exercises signification collaboration with the Leadership Team, strategic partnerships and manages the Community Development Department. The hiring salary wage is $109,811 to $137,264/annually depending on qualifications. This position closes at 11:59 pm on Sunday. July 24. 2022. • Plannin2 Administrative Assistant — Part-time. The primary objective of this position is to provide a variety of responsible administrative support functions for the Community Development Department, specifically the Planning Division. This may include, but is not limited to: providing excellent customer service to residents, contractors, staff and others; routing phone calls, attending city events, scheduling meetings, writing business letters and documents, and counter help at the Community Development / Economic Development windows. This is a part-time twenty (20) hours per week AFSCME union position; with the anticipated schedule being Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The hiring salary range is $23.262 to $25.589/hour depending on qualifications. This position closes at 11:59 pan. on Sunday. July 17. 2022. The City of Ramsey is also hiring for the following Temporary Summer Staff and Internships: • Parks Maintenance Worker (Temnorary un to 7-Months). Seeking one (1) individual to assist our Parks staff with general maintenance of City -owned parks and trail systems. This is a temporary full-time AFSCME union position lasting up to 7-months. Responsibilities include all aspects of parks maintenance, construction of new facilities and the operation of equipment while working in a variety of weather conditions. This individual also assists staff with several City events. All candidates must be at least 18 years old or older and possess a valid MN commercial driver's license (Class A or B) with both air brake and tanker endorsements. This is a temporary full-time AFSCME union position subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing, working forty (40) hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. This position will not lead to regular employment at the conclusion of the season. The 2022 wage is $19.511 per hour.
