Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: • Yoga o Back by popular demand, yoga classes resumed this week! An evening and midday session are being offered. Check out the Parks and Recreation Events website for the dates, times, and locations for these classes. • Time2Play o Join us on Tuesdays at The Draw from 10:00 — 11:30 am for games, sports, crafts, and snacks! This series will run until August 23. • Intro to Pickleball Recap o Participants had a great time at Intro to Pickleball! They learned an overview of the sport, basic rules and scoring, beginner skills, and had time to play. This class was such a hit, we will be offering another one this summer! • Registration information for our upcoming programs can be found on the Parks and Recreation Events page — www.citvoframsev.com/ParkEvents. Attached to the Weekly Update are the Parks and Recreation Event Flyers. Community Partners Needed for Adopt -a -Flag Program. The City of Ramsey is gathering sponsorships as part of its Adopt -a -Flag program. The Adopt -a -Flag Program calls for community partners — both in the business and residential community — to sponsor a flag that will be affixed to a light pole along Sunwood Drive. A Friends -of -the -Flag Level Sponsorship is $50 and a Patriot Level Sponsorship is $500. This covers the cost of supplies as well as an engraved plaque which will be on display at Ramsey City Hall. Patriot Sponsors will also have an engraved nameplate affixed to the light pole. Adopting a flag can also serve as a symbol to honor the memory of a loved one. Save the Date: • 2022 EDA Business Appreciation Day/Golf Tournament: The annual Business Appreciation Day Golf Tournament and recognition of the 2022 Ramsey Business of the Year will take place on August 16. 2022. Round up your team of four and join us for an 18 hole "Best Ball" scramble with prizes & giveaways followed by a prime rib dinner banquet and award presentation.
