From: Todd Larson
To: "Jeremy Soaude"
Cc: Brian McCann
Subject: RE:Site Neighbors
Date: Wednesday,July 27,2022 2:04:54 PM
Thanks to her for meeting with them! In your plan submittal, please include a photometrics plan.
You'll want to limit the freestanding pole height to around 15'. City Code says lighting needs to be
positioned so that the source isn't seen off-site. With that proximity, it'll likely need to be short.
Going forward, Brian McCann will be the planner assigned to work with you through the process. If
there's anything you need, fell free to let me know.
Thanks,
Todd
From:Jeremy Spaude<jeremy_nslc@yahoo.com>
Sent: Wednesday,July 27, 2022 1:48 PM
To: Todd Larson <tlarson@ci.ramsey.mn.us>
Subject: Site Neighbors
Todd,
I wanted to give you some info from the meeting with the neighbors. Jen was able to meet
with two of them today.
Concerns -
1. There seems to be a lot of concern from when the storage building went in and some
perceived promises weren't delivered on which I feel like is a driver in the feeling towards any
project going into this site.
2. They were concerned about lighting from our building hitting their house similar to issues
with the the storage building. We assured them that we use goose neck lighting on our
building that only lights the stoops and won't travel to their houses.
3. Fencing - They asked about fencing and we told them that we use a quality commercial
fence that is not chain link and is an aluminum bar and rail set up. They seemed fine with
that.
4. Privacy was discussed--- We are working to save as many trees as possible with likely 3-4
on their property line as well as we are trying to transplant trees along that line from the
existing pines. We are just having a company go out to look at the trees to see which ones
will be best at transplanting. We will also do a row of arborvites under the tree line to further
shield us and them. They seemed ok with this direction.
5. The biggest concern they had was kids playing outside and the noise of the kids. Jen
discussed with them that our hours of operation are only until 6 and closed on weekends with
only specific times during the day when they are outside. For example - Kids aren't outside
