Anoka County Board Welcomes Economic Development Director — Add 1
Frahm -Gilles is also the co-founder of Access Veterinary Care in Minneapolis, having
served as its director of business operations prior to joining Anoka County. Access Veterinary
Care is a family -owned veterinary urgent care center focused on increasing access to veterinary
care for all pet owners.
In 2015, the InBusiness publication recognized Frahm -Gilles in its 40 under 40 issue,
which highlights the most successful and civic -minded young professionals under the age of 40 in
the Greater Madison Wisconsin area.
"There are a tremendous number of exciting economic development opportunities
available in Anoka County, and that's part of what drew me to this area," Frahm -Gilles said.
"There's such a variety of prospects from urban in -fill and redevelopment in fully built -out
communities like Fridley and Columbia Heights to more greenfield-type projects to the north,
where more land is available. I'm excited to use my background in both the public and private
sectors to continue to support economic development in Anoka County."
Commissioner Scott Schulte, chair, Anoka County Board of Commissioners, noted he and
his fellow commissioners are confident Frahm -Gilles will be able to expertly continue the work of
his predecessors and put his own mark on economic development in the county.
"Those who have had a chance to meet Gregory have been impressed with his experience,
ideas and ability to make connections," Schulte said. "Anoka County is fortunate to have him on
board, working with the county, local cities, chambers of commerce, economic development
organizations, and commercial real estate brokers to enhance economic development in our
county."
-30-
