<br />Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #22-163 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY, INC., FOR FIRE <br />STATION NO. 1, PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-10 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to overlay the pavement and improve drainage of the Fire Station <br />No. 1 Parking Lot Improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City staff has the capacity to prepare plans and specifications for said <br />improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-195, adopted July 27, 2021, the City <br />Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the purpose of advertising for bids for said <br />improvements. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #21-344, adopted December 14, 2021, <br />the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized <br />advertisement for bids for said improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-021, adopted January 25, 2022, the <br />City Council authorized entering into a construction contract with North Valley Inc. for the making of such <br />improvements at the contract price of $104,935.73; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as of July 26, 2022 $117,987.61 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Engineer Technician IV has inspected the completed work and recommends <br />final payment to North Valley Inc., of Nowthen Minnesota, for Fire Station No. 1 Parking Lot <br />Improvements, Improvement Project #21-10, in the amount of $8,180.56. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to North Valley, Inc., of Nowthen <br />Minnesota, for Improvement Project #21-10,Fire Station No. 1 Parking Lot Improvements, in <br />the amount f $8,180.56. <br /> <br />2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator <br />to sign and release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for <br />the date of July 26, 2022. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />
