<br />Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #22-170 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #22-05, RIVERDALE DRIVE TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, LLAMA <br />STREET TO BOWERS DRIVE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-305 adopted October 26, <br />2021, the City Council accepted the design services proposal of Bolton & Menk, Inc. for <br />providing engineering services required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose <br />of soliciting bids for the construction of Improvement Project #22-05; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-040 the City Council <br />approved the plans and specifications prepared by Bolton & Menk, Inc. for the making of such <br />improvements, and authorizes the advertisement of bids for the same improvements as City <br />Improvement Project #22-05; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-072 the City Council <br />authorized entering into a construction contract with Douglas Kerr Underground for the making <br />of such improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-087 the City Council <br />authorized executing Change Order No. 1 approving the installation of plastic watermain in lieu <br />of ductile iron watermain to ensure utilities are operational in time to serve the Riverstone South <br />development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-119 the City Council <br />authorized executing Change Order No. 2 approving removal of the existing septic system tank <br />serving the abandoned property at 8846 Highway 10 NW, which was proposed to be removed <br />during Improvement Project #20-05 but collapsed during construction of Improvement Project <br />#22-05, requiring the emergency removal of the tank due to health and safety concerns; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 29, 2022, the City of Ramsey Fire Department burned the <br />abandoned residential home at 8846 Highway 10 NW, which required removal for the extension <br />of Riverdale Drive, to provide real-life training opportunities for fire department personnel; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the burned building debris and building foundation materials must be <br />removed, hauled off site and disposed of, the foundation area must be filled with suitable <br />material and compacted, and turf must be established over all disturbed areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, two quotes were received to complete this work and Douglas-Kerr <br />Underground, LLC provided the lowest responsible quote in the amount of $9,800. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
