CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
Topic Report: Highway #10 Interchange
Land Preservation
By: James E. Norman, City Administrator

Background:

The City Administrator and Jodi Ruehle of The Tinklenberg Group met with the property
owner of the land designated in all TH #10 Access Management Plans for the future river
crossing system interchange with Highway #10. Every alternative includes some type of
interchange south of Highway #10 on the property owner's land in question (maps
attached). The property owner has indicated a willingness to sell, however, would like to
begin the process. The property will not become eligible for Right-of-Way Acquisition
Loan Fund (RALF) until the river crossing project has been officially mapped. Staff will
work with The Tinklenberg Group to have the project officially mapped sometime next
year.

Staff would like to discuss with the City Council alternatives for an option on the
property prior to officially mapping the river crossing corridor.

Action Statement:

Baxed upon discussion.

P, eviewed by:

City Administrator

CCWS: 11/01/05
