Co,moil member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-11- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS, APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT TO CHANGE A LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM PLACES TO SHOP <br />AND PUBLIC/QUASI-PUBLIC TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, AND LOW <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO PUBLIC/QUASI-PUBLIC; AND AUTHORIZING CITY <br />STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR <br />.,~.~N~ AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 3, 2005, the City of Ramsey received an application from GM <br />[Land Development (the "Applicant") requesting an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan to <br />recontigure the future land use designation from Places to Shop and Public/Quasi-Public to Low <br />Density Residential, and Low Density Residential to Public/Quasi-Public, for the following <br />legally described property: <br /> <br />That part of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as Beginning at the Southeast <br />corner of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter; thence North along the East <br />line of thereof fbr a distance of 174.80 feet; thence West parallel with the South <br />line of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter for a distance of 1-296.32 feet to <br />intersect the centerline of County State Aid Highway No. 5; thence Southeasterly <br />a].ong said centerline to intersect the South line of said North Half of the Southeast <br />Quarter; thence east along said south line for a distance of 1195.97 feet to the point <br />of beginning. <br /> <br />Together with: <br /> <br />All that part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, <br />Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as lying East of a <br />line to be hereafter known as "Line B" for the purposes of this description, and <br />lying North of a line to be hereafter known as "Line A" for the purposes of this <br />de.~cfiption, said Line A being described as Commencing at the Northeast corner of <br />said Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter;' thence North 89 degrees 52 <br />minutes West, assumed basis of bearings, along the North line thereof for a <br />distance of 1100.52 feet; thence South 29 degrees 14 minutes East for a distance of <br />300.00 feet; thence North 89 degrees 52 minutes West parallel with said North line <br />t'or a distance of 22.97 feet, more or less, to intersect the Easterly line of the right- <br />ol"-way of County State Aid Highway No.5, said point of intersection also being <br />thc actual point of beginning of said Line A to be hereby described; thence return <br />S,mth 89 degrees 52 minutes East along said parallel line for a distance of 972.56 <br />t'ect, tnore or less, to intersect the East line of said Southeast Quarter of the <br />Southeast Quarter and there to terminate said Line A. <br /> <br />103 <br /> <br /> <br />
