( 'o u tici/~q ember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-331 <br /> <br />I,~i~SOI,UTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-08 <br />([I['['IJglINOUS OVERLAY SORTEBERG'S 4TM ADDITION, SORTEBERG'S 5TM <br />.,'[ I)I)I'I'ION ) <br /> <br /> WIIlCREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Ramsey City <br /> has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the <br />I~'~]t)r()vctncnt Projcct #05-08, which is Bituminous Overlay of Sorteberg's 4th Addition, <br /> <br />NOW TIIEI/I~;I*'OIIE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />R A MS1CV, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />]} <br /> <br />'l'hat stroh proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hcrcot; it hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands <br />nttmcd therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by <br />thc improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br />'l'hat such assessment shall be payable in mmual installments extending over a period of <br />ten years, the first of the installments to be payable with the first tax rolls of 2006 and <br />.~lmll bear intercst at the rate of 6.5 percent annum from the date of the adoption of this <br />assessment resolution. To the first installment interest shall be added on the entire <br />~sscssmcnt from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2006. To each subsequent <br />i~stallment, when due, interest shall be added for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> <br />'l'hat the owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />~sscssmcnt to the Anoka County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such <br />pml)erty, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Finance Department, <br />except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days <br />I't'om the adoption of the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest <br />a~:crued to Dccember 31 of the year in which such payment is made.
