('ot~ci I~tcmbcr glvig introduced the follo~ving resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-332 <br /> <br /> UTI ON ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-23 <br />I.]BON'f STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS BETWEEN 137TM AVENUE AND <br />lflVl~il{llAl,l,; I)RIVE) <br /> <br /> WI II~;REAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Ramsey City <br /> has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the <br />l~nprovc~ncnt Project #05- 23, which is Ebony Street and Utility Improvements between 137th <br /> ',md Rivcrdalc Drive. <br /> <br />~Xi)W TI II~;I/I,;I:ORI,;, liE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ICAf~,ISEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />I) <br /> <br />That such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hcrcof, it hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands <br />mm~cd therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by <br />thc iml3rovcment in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br />'l'hat such assessment shall be payable in annual installments extending over a period of <br />Ion years, the first of the installments to be payable with the first tax rolls of 2006 and <br />sl~all bear interest at the rate of 6.5 percent annum from the date of the adoption of this <br />assessment resolution. To the first installment interest shall be added on the entire <br />:tsscssmcnt from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2006. To each subsequent <br />i~tslalhnent, when due, interest shall be added for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />'l'hat the owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />a~;scssmcnt to tiao Anoka County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such <br />property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Finance Department, <br />except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days <br />I'rom thc adoption of the entire an-tount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest <br />accrc~cd to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must <br />bc made before November 4, or interest will be charged through December 31 of the <br />stlccccding year. <br /> <br />That a cot-tiffed duplicate of this assessment be transmitted to the Anoka County <br />Attditor's OFfice to be extended on the property tax lists of the County and such <br />assessments shall be collected and paid in the same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> <br />'11~c motion of tiao adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />['ca r~;oll, mid ttpon vote being taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Resolution #05-09-332 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
