Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #22-228 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE INTENTION TO ISSUE GENERAL OBLIGATION STREET RECONSTRUCTION PLAN BONDS AND THE PROPOSAL TO ADOPT A STREET RECONSTRUCTION PLAN WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.58 Subdivision 3b, the City of Ramsey, Minnesota (the "City") may issue bonds to finance capital expenditures under its street reconstruction plan (the "Plan") without an election provided that, among other things, prior to issuing the bonds, the City adopts the Plan after a public hearing theron and publishes a notice of its intention to issue the bonds and the date and time of a hearing to obtain public comment on the matter; and WHEREAS, the City Council will hold a public hearing on its intention to issue General Obligation Street Reconstruction Plan bond (the "Bonds") and to adopt the Plan therefor pursuant thereto on October 11, 2022; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby calls for a public hearing on its intent to issue the Bonds and to adopt the Plan therefore, such hearing to be held on October 11, 2022 at or shortly after 7:00 p.m. The City Council is hereby directed to cause the notice to be published at least 10 but not more than 28 days before the hearing in the official newspaper of the City or a newspaper of general circulation in the City. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of September, 2022.
