In-person absentee voting for the General Election began on Friday, September <br />23, and continues through Monday, November 7. Residents may vote at City Hall, 7550 Sunwood <br />Drive NW, Ramsey, MN, or at the Anoka County Government Center – Elections Department, <br />rd <br />2100 3 Avenue, Suite 160, Anoka, MN, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday. For more <br />information, please visit our website at www.cityoframsey.com/elections. <br /> <br />Come Work With Us! <br />The City of Ramsey is also hiring for the following Temporary Seasonal Staff and Internships: <br /> Rink Attendants. Maintain the warming houses during the skating season through <br />responsible, safety-minded work as a part-time temporary Ice Rink Attendant at Central <br />Park and Ramsey Elementary School. Warming houses are expected to open (weather <br />permitting) on Friday, December 16, 2022. The wage is $13.00 to $14.50 per hour, <br />depending on qualifications. Application deadline is 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 8, <br />2022. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by Thursday, December 8, 2022 to be <br />considered. <br /> On-call Snowplow Drivers. Assist the Public Works Department with cul-de-sac routes <br />using one of the City’s 1-ton pick-ups on an as-needed basis through the winter <br />months. Candidates must have a valid Minnesota Driver’s License. The wage is $16.00 to <br />$20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Application deadline is 11:59 pm on <br />Wednesday, October 12, 2022. <br />Attached to the Weekly Update is a City of Ramsey - Come Work With Us Flyers. <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: <br /> Movie in the Park <br />o Grab a blanket or bring a lawn chair and join us for a free outdoor screening of <br />Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone at Elmcrest Park on Friday, September 30 <br />starting at 7:00 pm. The Ramsey Lions will be providing free popcorn at this event. <br /> Yappy Hour <br />o Last week we hosted our first ever Yappy Hour. Dogs and their owners had a great <br />time at the Alpine Dog Park. Free mini doggy cupcakes were handed out to the <br />pups, and their owners were able to eat delicious food from a food truck at the park. <br />Our next Yappy Hour is scheduled for Thursday, October 13. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
