In -person absentee voting for the General Election began on Friday, September 23, and continues through Monday, November 7. The primary objective of these positions are to perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other related duties as required. These are full-time LELS-Patrol union positions. The 2022 hiring wage is $29.71 per hour. Application deadline is open until filled. apply immediately if interested. The City of Ramsey is also hiring for the following Temporary Seasonal Staff and Internships: • Rink Attendants. Maintain the warming houses during the skating season through responsible, safety -minded work as a part-time temporary Ice Rink Attendant at Central Park and Ramsey Elementary School. Warming houses are expected to open (weather permitting) on Friday, December 16, 2022. The wage is $13.00 to $14.50 per hour, depending on qualifications. Application deadline is 11:59 pm on Tuesday. Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: • Ramsey Resident Day on the Farm o Celebrate fall with an afternoon of festivities at the Pearson Family Farm a multigenerational, family -owned farm in Ramsey. This event is scheduled on Saturday, October 8, from 12:00 — 6:00 pm. • Walk with a Naturalist o Spend the morning hiking with a Minnesota Master Naturalist Educator on Saturday, October 8, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Rum River Central Regional Park. Observe the changes occurring as Ramsey transitions from a hot Minnesota Summer to a cool colorful Autumn. • Full Moon Walk with a Naturalist o Join a Minnesota Master Naturalist Educator on a hike under the full moon at Mississippi West Regional Park on Sunday, October 9, from 6:45 — 8:45 pm.
