1'flIDEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION <br />Active Transportation Infrastructure Solicitation Now Open <br />MnDOT Office of State Aid for Local Transportation has kicked off the Minnesota Active Transportation (AT) <br />infrastructure program solicitation. Submissions for letters of intent are now open until October 14, 2022. Up to <br />$3,500,000 is available in funding for construction of eligible bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure projects. <br />Eligible applicant agencies include: <br />• Counties <br />• Cities <br />• Townships <br />• Registered non -profits (501(c)3) <br />See if your project qualifies: <br />• Must be a project that improves safety for those walking or biking in your community <br />• Project funding requests must be between $50,000 and $500,000 <br />• Must be able to go into construction in the 2023 or 2024 construction seasons <br />• All infrastructure improvements must have a useful life of at least 10 years <br />• Applicants will need to obtain and submit a resolution of support from their governing board or council <br />Solicitation Schedule: <br />• Monday, September 12th, 2022 — Active Transportation Infrastructure Program solicitation kick-off. <br />Open letter of intent period <br />• Friday, October 14th, 2022 — Deadline for applicants to submit letters of intent <br />• Friday, October 28th, 2022 — Deadline for MnDOT to review of letters of intent.
