CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 10/ 11 /2022 <br />By: Brian Hagen, Administrative Services <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Thanking City of Ramsey Legislative Representatives <br />7. 1. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Councilors Howell and Musgrove requested this case out of appreciation for the assistance Ramsey has received <br />through advocacy by our legislative representatives. <br />We would like to thank our legislative representatives, particularly Rep Heinrich and Sen. Abeler for all of their <br />work on behalf of the residents of the city of Ramsey. These are items we included on our legislative agenda for <br />which legislation was proposed and in most cases, action taken. These include the following: <br />1. Ramsey Fire Relief Association and Nowthen Firefighters, Bills SF1925 Abeler and HF2193 Heinrich in <br />2021 (correction or possibly second bill on Nowthen Firefighters SF1925 and HF2192) <br />2. Highway 10 Expansion Bond Issue and Appropriation, SF80 Abeler and HF (I will have to find this one) <br />3. City of Rmasey Public Works Facility Refundable Construction Sales and Use Tax Exemption, SF98 <br />Abeler and HF216 Heinrich <br />4. Ramsey TIF Five -Year Rule Extension, SF1752 Abeler and HF 1855 Heinrich <br />5. Metro Mobility Service Area Expansion to Ramsey Authorization and Appropriation, SF4029 Abeler and <br />HF4267 Heinrich <br />6. Ramsey I-94/US10 Mississippi River Bridge Crossing Project Development Funding Provided and Money <br />Appropriated, HF3 5 3 9 <br />And finally, we would like to specifically thank Senator Abeler and Representative Heinrich for authoring bills, <br />SF4440 Abeler and HF4732 Heinrich regarding the Ramsey Water Treatment Plant Bond Issue and <br />Appropriation. As a city council, we made our legislative requests and they listened. Finding funding sources for <br />the water treatment plant is an ongoing issue as prices continue to rise.
