PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />PUBI,IC ItEARING & ADOPT ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 2006 SCHEDULE OF <br />RATES, FEES AND CHARGES <br /> By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />l~;['t'cctivc June 30, 1991, Ordinance #91-08 amended S7.01.10 of the City Code to allow the City <br />Council lo annually set fees. <br /> <br />'l'hc City is allowed to annually adopt the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges by Resolution, <br />but thc City has chosen to adopt its entire schedule by ordinance. Ordinance adoption provides <br />the opportunity for comments at a Public Hearing and gives adequate time (30 days) before the <br />r~tcs go into effect. <br /> <br />'Ibc attached ordinance was introduced at the October 25, 2005, City Council meeting with a <br />15tbli¢ 1 lcaring to be held on November 7, 2005. <br /> <br />~l'hc attached Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges reflect the rates & fees to be charged by the <br />City t'or services beginning January 1, 2006.
