POLICY BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />~asc #1: Election of Chair and Vice Chair <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson McDilda opened the meeting up for nominations, starting with nominations <br />l;,3r Chair. Board consensus was to open the meeting to verbal nominations instead of ballot <br />cte,ztion. Acting Chairperson McDilda asked what the intended duration for this nominated <br />po,,;ition would be. Staff member Anderson stated that the duration of the term would be for the <br />,-emaindcr of 2005. A new election would take place in January. <br /> <br />M{_~ti(m by Board Member Max to nominate Acting Chairperson McDilda to continue as <br />Chairperson tbr the remainder of the year. Motion seconded by Board Member Freeburg. <br />Acting Chairperson McDilda accepted the nomination. <br /> <br />Th,.:re being no other nominations, the members of the EPB approved the nominations by a show <br /> <br />fvk,tion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson McDilda, Board Member Bentz, Freeburg, <br />I lustvcdt, Max, and Olds. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Sibilski. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson McDilda to nominate Board Member Max for Vice Chair for the <br />dm'ation ~ the year. Motion seconded by Board Member Hustvedt. Absent: Board Member Sibilski <br /> <br />Case #2 <br /> <br />Buffer Monumentation Signs <br /> <br />Zoning and Recycling Coordinator Anderson stated that from the last EPB meeting, there was <br />:~ome discussion about the buffer monumentation signs. Direction from the last meeting was for <br />everybody to give some thought to the signs and what they wanted to see on the signs. He stated <br />chztt hc did go out and meet with the City of Plymouth to look at some of their signs for buffers.. <br />lqc presented another option for the board to look at. Staff member Chris Anderson stated that <br />b,e didn't like the idea of the sign being reflective. A picture of the proposed sign was reviewed <br />by thc board ~nembers. Staff member Cln:is Anderson stated that he liked the idea of having the <br />City o1: R. amsey logo and the ordinance number on the sign. Board consensus was that the EPB <br />is ,~ot in {'avor of the sign being reflective. <br /> <br />Ct~airpcrson McDilda stated that he felt the City of Plymouth sign was more artistic. <br /> <br />{3r,ard Member Olds stated that he approved of using the terminology that was on the sample that <br />:¥~s prc.~cated to the Board. He stated that he felt that the wetland buffer could be on the front, <br />witl'~ thc side having verbiage 'no mowing allowed'.
