Cotmcilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO NOT WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR <br /> LMCIT LIABILITY COVERAGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not-waiving <br />statutory tort limits for liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />'l'rust; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been past practice for the City of Ramsey to not waive the <br />statutory tort limits for liability coverage with LMCIT; and <br /> <br /> WIIEREAS, staff is recommending that the City Council not waive the statutory <br />limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />t) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort <br />limits for LMCIT liability coverage. <br /> <br />Thc motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thcrcol': <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the Ibllowing abstained: <br /> <br />and thc l'ollowing were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 7th day of November 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />
