The City of Ramsey will have rental type housing some day, and he would be <br />excited to see this type revolving fund. Ramsey does not have anything for first time <br />ho~nebuycrs, and thc HRA could be a powerful tool in getting families into their first home with <br /> equity. <br /> <br />Mr. Nagcl indicated he has worked with a program that rebates a percentage of the interest rate <br /> home loans. He has also been involved with a rental rehab program, in addition to an owner <br />occupied program. <br /> <br />Mcrrywayne Elvig stated the City of Ramsey is doing ahead of time what Anoka is trying to <br />catch up with. The City of Anoka deals mostly with infill and a lot of redevelopment, and is <br />trying to raise the level of their housing stock. The City of Ramsey has redevelopment problems <br />as well. Shc feels that economic development and the HRA go very close hand in hand.
