C(mncilmcmber Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION//05-09-311 <br /> <br />RES()i ,IJTION (;RANTING AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A PARKS LEAD WORKER <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, in December 2004 the City Council approved a reorganization in the Public <br />Works l)cpartmcnt which resulted in the Parks Lead Worker position becoming vacant; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council granted authorization to begin the recruitment process to <br />Il ll thc l>arks I.cad Worker position. <br /> <br /> WtlEREAS, a recruitment process has been conducted and staff recommends that <br />Michael Bcrge be hired as the Parks Lead Worker effective September 14, 2005 at a starting <br />wage o1' $18.54 per hour. Mr. Berge's probationary period will be six months and all other <br />persmmcl policies will apply normally. <br /> <br />NOW TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSE¥, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />'l'hat the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />l>orsonnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />I lire Michael Berge as the Parks Lead Worker effective September 14, 2005 at a starting <br />wage of $18.54 per hour. <br /> <br />Thc motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />('ouncihnember Jeffrey <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />Councihnember Cook <br />('ouncihnember Elvig <br />(iouncilmember Olson <br />(;ouncilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and ibc lbllowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />ami thc/bllowing abstained: <br /> <br />NOllC <br /> <br /> <br />
