CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Kuzma called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:00 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Kuzma. <br />2. PRESENTATION <br />2.01: Proclamation Declaring October 2022 Domestic Violence Awareness Month <br /> <br />Mayor Kuzma read the proclamation declaring October 2022 Domestic Violence Awareness <br />Month. <br /> <br />Tina Bronson, Director of Mission Advancement at the Alexander House, came forward and <br />thanked the City for declaring October Domestic Violence Awareness Month and expressed her <br />appreciation to the City of Ramsey for partnering by recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness <br />Month by illuminating public spaces in purple and visibly showing domestic violence is not <br />tolerated in the community. She shared there is a long standing partnership with Ramsey and it <br />means a great deal to the survivors, staff and volunteers. She acknowledged that this work is very <br />important and it has come a long way; however, there is still work to be done. She added the <br />pandemic has only exacerbated the relationship violence and Minnesota domestic violence and <br />sexual violence programs have seen an overwhelming amount of service requests in the last few <br />years.
