ka u <br />nt <br />AD VINIST1RATION <br />"uli'r`, Vid)pi <br />October 17, 2022 <br />Contact: Erik Thorson, Communications Director, 763-324-4612, or e-mail: <br />Erik.Thorson@co.anoka.mn.us <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br />Anoka County Honors Medlink Volunteer Drivers <br />Volunteers who drive for Anoka County's Medlink Transportation Program were honored <br />during an Oct. 11 luncheon at the Brookhall Event Center in Blaine. <br />Between Sept. 1, 2021, and Aug. 31, 2022, volunteer drivers racked up a total of <br />103,407 miles on 4,790 trips, driving passengers primarily to veterans' medical facilities, as well <br />as other clinics and medical facilities. Anoka County Medlink drivers contributed 6,410 hours of <br />service. That represents more than 267 days. <br />Commissioner Scott Schulte, chair, Anoka County Board of Commissioners, commended <br />all the drivers for their service. <br />"The value of this service is immeasurable," Schulte said.
