Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #22-246 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #22-10, PUBLIC WORKS SALT SHED <br />WHEREAS, while constructing the new salt shed at Public Works it was discovered that <br />the underlying soils needed significant soil corrections to remove decaying tree stumps and <br />organic soils that would not adequately support the salt shed structure being constructed under <br />Improvement Project #22-10; and <br />WHEREAS, soils corrections were not identified within the plans and specifications; and <br />WHEREAS, the soils corrections work was completed in advance of receiving City <br />Council approval of Change Order #1 to allow construction of the salt shed to continue <br />unimpeded so the salt shed will be operational in time for its intended use this winter. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer to execute Change Order <br />No. 1 for Improvement Project #22-10, Public Works Salt Shed, in the amount of <br />$27,420.00, for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 25th day of October, 2022. <br />
