CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 10/25/2022 <br />By: Brian Hagen, Administrative Services <br />Information <br />7.3. <br />Title: <br />Adopt Ordinance #22-17 Amending City Charter Prohibiting Membership on the Charter Commission of City <br />Council Members <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The City Council introduced this ordinance at the October 11, 2022 regularly scheduled meeting. The attached <br />ordinance does include the updated reference to State Statute 410.12, subdivision 5. The Charter Commission is <br />set to meet on October 26, 2022. Due to timing of meeting, this ordinance has been placed on their agenda for <br />review. The case does note a verbal update will be provided by staff on the outcome of City Council's final <br />consideration of the ordinance. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Alternative 1: Adopt Ordinance #22-17 <br />Alternative 2: Deny Ordinance #22-17.
