<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />October 28, 2022 <br />City Meetings <br /> <br />st <br />Please Note: there are no City Meetings the week of October 31. <br /> <br />Council Update <br /> <br />Welcome New Ramsey Business: Miss Iz Ice Cream & Soda Pop Shop, located at 14050 St <br />Francis Boulevard NW (Suite B2) in Ramsey Town Square, held their Grand Opening on Saturday, <br />October 22, 2022, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Miss Iz <br />is a 1950’s inspired style ice cream shop named after the owners’ daughter, Isabella. They offer <br />12 premium hard scooped ice cream, 4 Gelato options, a dozen soda pop flavors (with option to <br />add a scoop to float it), in-house created ice cream cookie sandwiches and other yummy treats! <br />Visit their website at https://www.missizicecream.com or find them on social media for more <br />details. Attached to the Weekly Update is the Miss Iz Ice Cream & Soda Pop Shop Welcome <br />Letter. <br /> <br />PACT Charter Breaks Ground on New Secondary Campus: On Thursday, October 6, 2022, <br />st <br />PACT Charter School broke ground on their new secondary campus at 7633 161 Avenue NW, <br />next to Central Park. The new <br />campus will house students in <br />grades 6-12 at both a middle and <br />high school that will also include <br />an auditorium, football stadium, <br />track, media center and industrial <br />art classrooms. The expected <br />opening date is Fall 2023. The <br />current K-12 school, located in <br />the COR, will be reconfigured to <br />a K-5 elementary school. <br /> <br />Absentee Voting. Absentee voting for the General Election continues through 5:00 p.m., Monday, <br />November 7. Absentee Direct Balloting will begin on Tuesday, November 1, (7 days in advance <br />of the General Election) which allows the in person absentee voter to insert their ballot directly <br />into the ballot counter. In addition, City Hall will be open Saturday, November 5, from 10:00 a.m. <br />to 3:00 p.m. for in person voting. <br /> <br />Come Work With Us! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br /> Police Officers.
