The primary objective of these positions is to perform <br />responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through <br />prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, <br />regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other <br />related duties as required. These are full-time LELS-Patrol union positions. The 2023 <br />hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. Utility Maintenance Workers provide <br />general and skilled maintenance of public water and sewer utilities. This includes annual <br />maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software and all other components of the <br />utility systems. Responsibilities will also include building and grounds maintenance in and <br />around utility structures and equipment and responding to utility emergencies as necessary. <br />This position will also be involved in snow plowing of public streets, trails and walks. <br />These are full-time AFSCME union positions. The 2023 salary range is $25.749 to $32.186 <br />per hour. Application deadline is open until filled. apply immediately if interested. <br />• Police Technician. Our Police Technician provides administrative, clerical, reception and <br />transcription support to the Ramsey Police Department. They also provide customer <br />service support, exercising discretion while building relationships within the community, <br />residents and City staff. Other duties include, but are not limited to, entering, maintaining, <br />retrieving and compiling factual information through numerous computerized systems and <br />disseminating this information to authorized agencies and persons. This position will also <br />monitor compliance by applying knowledge of data privacy practice requirements, respond <br />to the public who will make telephone or in -person contact and classify crimes pursuant to <br />applicable state and federal reporting systems. This is a full-time AFSCME union position. <br />The 2023 wage scale is $23.050 to $28.813 per hour. Application deadline is 11:59 pm on <br />Wednesday. November 16. 2022. <br />• Paid On -call Firefighter. Paid On -call Firefighters respond to a variety of emergency and <br />non -emergency events under the general supervision of an officer and are expected to <br />function effectively as part of a highly trained team. They perform duties in the following <br />general categories: fire suppression, emergency medical aid or rescue, hazardous material <br />responses, water and ice rescue. Paid On -call Firefighters also are required to attend <br />regularly scheduled training in order to maintain the high level of knowledge, skill and <br />ability necessary to function safely and effectively as a firefighter and EMS provider in <br />accordance with state law and standard operating procedures. All formal (required) training <br />will be provided and paid for by the City. No previous experience is necessary.
