CC Regular Session 5.8. <br />Meeting Date: 11/07/2022 <br />Submitted For: Joe Feriancek, Engineering/Public Works <br />By: Joe Feriancek, Engineering/Public Works <br />Information <br />Title <br />Adopt Resolution #22-250 Accepting Survey Proposals for 2023 Overlay Improvement Projects <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #22-250 accepting survey proposals for 2023 Overlay <br />Improvement projects. <br />Background: <br />The proposed 2023 through 2032 10-Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) proposes to an MSA Overlay <br />Improvement of Riverdale Drive between Ramsey Boulevard and Feldspar Street, and a Neighborhood Overlay <br />Improvement of Alpine Meadows, and Highlands at River Park 1st — 4th. Street segment summaries of the two <br />projects are attached to this case. The 2023 Neighborhood Overlay Improvement is also proposed in the 2023 <br />through 2027 Street Reconstruction and Overlay Plan as part of the proposed General Obligation Street <br />Reconstruction Bonds. <br />The proposed CIP has not yet been approved by City Council, but to solicit bids this winter, Staff needs to begin <br />designing the projects and preparing plans. Topographic surveys are essential to locate all existing site features <br />and to create an existing ground surface, used as the base for designing the project. These topographic survey are <br />specifically located at the existing pedestrian ramp locations, as part of the projects will include upgrading <br />pedestrian facilities within the city -owned right of way to current ADA standards. <br />Quotes received are shown below. <br />TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYS <br />Project <br />IP 23-06; 2023 MSA Overlay <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. <br />IP 23-07; 2023 Neighborhood Overlay <br />Total Amount for all projects <br />$ 500.00 <br />$ 1,150.00 <br />$ 1,650.00 <br />Hakanson Anderson <br />$ 1,640.00 <br />$ 1,640.00 <br />$3, 280.00 <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible quotes for both projects. Based on the submitted quotes, <br />Staff recommends accepting the proposals for the 2023 MSA Overlay Improvements, and the 2023 Neighborhood <br />Overlay Improvements topographic surveys from Bolton & Menk, Inc. <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. is required to complete their work by December 2, 2022, which will allow Staff to complete <br />design work for these proposed improvements in time for winter bidding. <br />Notification: <br />No notifications are required with this case. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #22-250 accepting survey proposals for 2023 Overlay Improvement projects. <br />
