11 <br />11 <br />Consent # <br />ASK FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE 2006-2010 <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Background: <br />The Capital Improvement Program is a strategic planning tool to assist the City Council <br />in identifying proposed capital improvement projects over the next five years. The 2006- <br />201 0 contains the following categories: Capital Improvement Bonding Projects, <br />Municipal Buildings, Park Improvements, Sewer Utility, Site Acquisitions, Storm Water <br />Utility, Street Improvements, Street Light Utility and Water Utility Improvements. <br />Per section 7.5 of the Ramsey City Charter, the City shall hold an annual public hearing <br />on the lave -year Capital Improvement Plan and adopt it by resolution. Staff is asking that <br />a Public hearing be held at the regular meeting of December 13, 2005. <br />Council Action: Motion to authorize a public hearing on December 13, 2005, to adopt <br />the 2006-2010 Capital Improvement Program. <br />Reviewed by: <br />James Norman, City Administrator <br />Consent: 11/22/05 <br />—13— <br />
