C op a <br />CITY.,COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Monday, November 7, 2005, in the <br />`braining Room of Fire Station No. 1, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Mcn-fibers Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Alan Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Civil Engineer II Leonard Linton <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />0 CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Mayor Gamec noted a student in the audience and called him to the podium. <br />Mike Patterson, student from Elk River High School, introduced himself, stating he lives within <br />the City of Ramsey and is attending the meeting as a requirement of his government class. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />i�one, <br />UPDATE FROM THE JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />Councilmember Pearson stated that he and Police Chief Jim'Way attended the meeting. <br />Police Chief Way reported that one of the areas of discussion was on CID assignments appointed <br />by the Sheriff s department. The Police Chiefs wanted input on where these should be assigned <br />to. There was a lengthy discussion and the assignments will come back through the Committee. <br />With rc�-,ard to the emergency plans, Ramsey and Blaine have their plans more completed than <br />City Council/November 7, 2005 <br />Page 2 of 16 <br />
