Voting No: None. <br />PUBLIC HEARING/COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />Public Hearings <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:12 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public hearing. <br />Case 1: Public Hearing and Adopt Ordinance Adopting the 2006 Schedule of Rates, <br />Fees and Charges <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:12 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />Finance Officer Lund pointed out the proposed Schedule or Rates, Fees and Charges, which was <br />presented as an ordinance for introduction on October 25. Ms. Lund noted the changes which <br />arc in the professional service category — the gas increase, the water charges, and the recycling <br />to contract. These rates would be effective January 1, 2006. Following this public hearing, the <br />Schedule will be ready for formal adoption. <br />Citizen Input <br />None <br />Close Public Hearin <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig and seconded by Councilmember Cook to close the public <br />hearing. <br />vlotion carried. The public hearing was closed at 7:14 p.m. <br />Mavor Uamec called the regular portion of the City Council to order at 7:14 p.m. <br />10otion by Councilmember Cook and seconded by Councilmember Strommen to adopt <br />Ordinance #05-29 establishing the 2006 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges. <br />I urther discussion: Councilmember Cook referred to the fees for water. He stated that they <br />xverc reviewed several years ago and he wondered if the fees were increased all the way. Ms. <br />Lund informed him this is a graduated fee based on the water study.
