The Tinkle nberg Group
MEMO
To: Brian Olson
City of Ramsey
From: Jodi Ruehle
The Tinklenberg Group
Date: November 17, 2005
Re: Status report - Northwest Sanitary Sewer Extension Project
To date, seventeen (17) acquisitions have been completed with regards to the
easement acquisitions for the Northwest Sanitary Sewer Extension Project.
There are approximately ten (10) property owners we have met with that have
not yet signed, the majority of these pertain to the ditch/utility and flowage
easements; we are continuing to follow up with individuals and do not perceive
these acquisitions to be a detriment to the project.
As we've begun our discussions with property owners impacted by the proposed
trail, serious concerns have been raised regarding safety, vandalism and overall
increased exposure to potential crime. It is our sense from these meetings that
there are very few issues related to the actual sewer improvements being
proposed, but as expected, the trail is a major area of contention.
As of November 16`h we have received the remaining set of files from ProSource
Technologies and are diligently working to set up appointments as soon as
possible. Our goal is to complete an initial meeting with each property owner
prior to the end of the month, and continue our follow up with others whom we
have already met with.
Attached is a summary of the easement acquisitions as of today's date. You will
find that all compensation totals are within the allocated amount. We are
confident that over the course of the next couple of weeks we will be able to
make significant progress, as we have received all the necessary materials to
meet with the full list of impacted property owners.
C
-306-
