Owners has been made regarding the relocation issue. He advised staff is requesting that the <br />City Council approve the purchase ageement for the subjeCt property. ' <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig expressed concern with possible relocation. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich advised the City may be very vulnerable to relocation on this site, but. <br />the property is listed on the open market. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated if there is any relocation, case that may be tested, this may be <br />the one. The property owners have put a sign up and are selling the property, and in staff's <br />opinion they have waived relocation. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked if the City could sell the back portion of this property. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied there are three or four different ways to split the property, or <br />it could be sold as one piece. The main point is that the City will be required by MnDOT to <br />acquire the access to Ramsey Boulevard in the future for th.e gade separated interchange. <br /> <br />Councih:nember Elvig inquired about the value of the access. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied the access on the Amoco site was purchased about six years ago <br />at a cost of approximately $40,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to approve the purchase <br />agreement and acquire 14165 Ramsey Boulevard NW. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Pearson, and. <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Jeffrey and Olson. <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Acquisition of the North 70 Feet of Lot 2} BlOck 1, HY-10 Ramsey 2"a <br />Addition <br /> <br />Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan stated the City has.been in negotiation with 5A <br />Partnership I (Adolfson-Peterson) to purchase the North 70 feet of Lot 2, Block 1, Hy-10 <br />P. amsey 2nd Addition for highway purposes. The property-acquired would be used for the <br />extension of County Road 116. The acquisition would be funded from TIF District No. 1. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson inquired about the size of the parcel <br /> <br />Mr. Sullivan replied the entire parcel is 10 acres; the area being purchased by the City is 0.02 <br />;ICFCS. <br /> <br />Councitmember Elvig inquired about delineation on the site, and if the site is buildable. <br /> <br />City Council / October 25, 2005 <br /> Page 17 of 22 <br /> <br />P75 <br /> <br /> <br />
