PUBLIC HEARING <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Review Proposed Water Treatment Plant Project Costs and Bid Schedule <br /> <br />City Engineer/Interim Public Works Director Westby reviewed the water treatment plant project <br />costs and schedule, and introduced the new Project Manager. He mentioned the most recent cost <br />estimate was at $47.6 million, which would make this the largest capital improvement project ever <br />in Ramsey. In order to get the project done by spring of 2025, which is the recommended timeline, <br />the project needs to go out for bid this fall. <br /> <br />Councilmember Specht asked about the timeframe and if it has always been in the 24 to 25 month <br />frame or if it is due to other circumstances that came up. <br /> <br />City Engineer/Interim Public Works Director Westby said when the discussion started it was hoped <br />to get the plant operational by May or June of 2024, making the construction schedule only about <br />City Council / October 25, 2022 <br />Page 4 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
