Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #22-264 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANOKA COUNTY TO WITHHOLD CERTAIN TAX <br />FORFEIT LAND (10-32-25-33-0026) FROM PUBLIC SALE AND AUTHORIZING <br />ACQUISITION OF TAX FORFEIT PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC PURPOSE <br />WHEREAS, Unplatted Land located in the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter <br />of Section 10, Township 32, Range 25, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, PIN #10-32- <br />25-33-0026, has forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes (The "Subject <br />Property A"); and <br />WHEREAS, the parcel encumbers the Right of Way of Marble Street NW and adjacent <br />sidewalk/trail; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the City to acquire the Subject Property <br />A for road right-of-way and sidewalk/trail purposes. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESTOA, as follows: <br />1) That the Mayor, City Administrator and City Clerk are hereby authorized to complete the <br />application for a state use deed and any other necessary paperwork to secure ownership of the <br />Subject Property A for future roadway/trail purpose. <br />2) That the Council hereby authorizes the costs the City would incur by acquiring the tax forfeit <br />properties to be taken from the Public Improvement Revolving Fund for the acquisition of Subject <br />Property A. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
