Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #22-269 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ORDER FOR TANDEM AXLE PLOW TRUCK <br />WHEREAS, the adopted 2022 - 2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) <br />includes a 2023 capital equipment request to replace the 2007 Tandem Axle Plow Truck, <br />Unit #662; and <br />WHEREAS, the unadopted 2023 - 2032 CIP includes the same 2023 capital <br />equipment request at an estimated cost of $270,950 ($290,950 minus $20,000 trade-in), <br />which is included in the 2023 General Fund budget preliminarily adopted at the regular <br />City Council meeting on September 13, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, if this replacement tandem axle plow truck is ordered by November <br />30, 2022, the City will receive the 2022 body buildout cost from TowMaster, a savings of <br />10 to 15-percent off the 2023 TowMaster body buildout cost; and <br />WHEREAS, Council authorization is requested to order this replacement tandem <br />axle plow truck before November 30, 2022. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer/Interim Public Works <br />Director to order a replacement tandem axle plow truck for the 2007 tandem axle plow <br />truck, unit #662, by November 30, 2022, for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 22nd day of November, 2022. <br />Resolution #22-269 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
