Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #22-270 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PROPOSAL TO PREPARE <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #23-04, 167TH <br />AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey Proposes to reconstruct 167th Avenue between Nowthen <br />Boulevard and Trunk Highway 47 in 2023 as identified within the 2022-2031 10-Year Capital <br />Improvement Program: and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-130, adopted June 14th, <br />2022, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolten & Menk, Inc., for <br />Topographic Survey of the project area; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-201, adopted August 23rd, <br />2022, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for <br />Improvement Project #23 -04; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-204, adopted August 23rd, <br />2022, the City Council accepted the proposal of Haugo Geotechnical Services to complete <br />geotechnical evaluations for Improvement Project #23-04; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #22-235, adopted October 11 th, <br />2022, the City Council authorized Staff to apply for funding through the Minnesota Active <br />Transportation State Infrastructure Program to construct pedestrian and bicycle facilities along <br />167th Avenue as part of Improvement Project #23 -04; and <br />WHEREAS, approving the proposal from Bolton and Menk, Inc. to prepare final plans <br />and specifications for Improvement Project #23-04 will allow plans and specifications for the <br />remaining 2023 PMP projects to be prepared in-house. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Ramsey City Council directs the Mayor and City Administrator to execute the proposal <br />from Bolton and Menk, Inc. to prepare final plans and specifications for Improvement <br />Project #23-04, 167th Avenue Reconstruction, for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />
