The Ramsey Municipal Center will be serving as a drop off location for <br />recycling holiday lights. All strands of holiday lights, whether they work or not, can be dropped <br />off at the Ramsey Municipal Center (7550 Sunwood Drive NW) during regular business hours <br />(Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) beginning December 1 through the end of January, <br />2023. All light strands will be recycled and there is no cost to residents for this service. Please <br />remember that while strands of holiday lights are recyclable, they cannot be placed in your <br />curbside recycling cart. Please remove light strands from any plastic framing/shapes before <br />dropping them off. <br /> <br />Come Work With Us! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br /> Police Officers (2 Openings). The primary objective of these positions is to perform <br />responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through <br />prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, <br />regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other <br />related duties as required. These are full-time LELS-Patrol union positions. The 2023 <br />hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. Application deadline is open until filled, apply <br />immediately if interested. <br /> <br /> Community Service Officer – CSO (Part-time). The primary objective of this position <br />includes performing support duties to the Police Department’s operation, including, but not <br />limited to performing regularly scheduled community service work for public protection <br />and crime prevention. The primary service goals of this position include providing cost- <br />effective public safety and superior customer service. Other duties also include, investigate <br />ordinance complaints, perform animal control duties, perform code enforcement activities, <br />assist with vehicle maintenance and repairs. This is a part-time twenty-five (25) hours per <br />week AFSCME union position; which may include evenings and weekends. Paid leave <br /> <br />
